The show portrays characters who, over time, uncover the sinister motivations behind their employer’s benevolent façade. This fictional narrative highlights the cognitive dissonance faced by individuals who become detached from reality through manipulated belief systems—not unlike the dynamics observed in actual New Age movements.
The Variability of Belief and Influence
Human beliefs are often malleable, as evidenced by the diverse demographics involved in various conspiracy theories, such as those dismissing vaccination. Labeling some of these fringe conspiracies as “pastel QAnon” illustrates how cultural and spiritual narratives can intertwine to create misleading ideologies. Despite this, there remains hope that even staunch believers may eventually reconsider their viewpoints—a phenomenon that is not uncommon in the landscape of public opinion.
